Bring House Dream Act 3440 to a vote!
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
Right now, there are over 800,000 people whose future in America is uncertain. It is time for us to take action.
The House DREAM Act H.R.3440 was introduced on July 26, 2017, by Representative Lucille Roybal-Allard. The DREAM Act 3440 would not only authorize the cancellation of removal and grant a lawful permanent resident status to qualified undocumented immigrants, but it would also allow them to work and contribute to the economy, get a higher education, obtain driver’s licenses, and give back their communities.
In order to push for DREAM Act 3440 to come down for a vote, Congressman Steny Hoyer has introduced a discharge petition. The discharge petition needs 218 signatures from representatives, and there are currently 200 co-sponsors. The representatives we are asking to co-sponsor the DREAM Act are: Bill Huizenga (MI), Justin Amash (MI), Fred Upton (MI), Greg Walden (OR), Andy Barr (KY), Brett Guthrie (KY), Dan Lipinski (IL), Collin Peterson (MN), George Holding (NC), Walter Jones Jr. (NC), Mark Waller (NC), David Rouzer (NC), Richard Hudson (NC), Robert Pittenger (NC), Dave Brat (VA), Robert Wittman (VA), Morgan Griffith (VA), and Bob Goodlatte (VA).
For years, we have tried to come up with a solution to protect over 800,000 young undocumented immigrants, yet, we continue with this fight today. This bill would allow thousands of undocumented people to come out of the shadows and contribute to the only country they have ever known. We are now calling on Congress to take action. By signing this petition, we can help bring the DREAM Act a step closer to passing. One thing for sure: we are stronger when we speak together.
