Please help support the construction and instillation of a skatepark in Strathfieldsaye. 

Currently, there is no option for the youth of Strathfieldsaye to gather and skate unless they travel to other areas of Bendigo. 

My son has written a heartfelt letter to our local council with his thoughts on the matter.

Please read below;

Dear Cr Margaret O'Rourke,

Hi my name is Billy.  I’m eleven years old.

I’m writing because I would love a skatepark in Strathfieldsaye.

I would like a skatepark because many people travel through Strathfieldsaye and a lot of people would go there because Strathfieldsaye community has a lot of young people my age. It would be a great place to make new friends.

I feel this would be beneficial to the health and wellbeing of today's generation of kids.

I also have several friends that enjoy skating and I know many more that also do.

Many people love skateparks but can’t get into town so that would be awesome for them.

I think it would get them off games online  and would definitely get me off them.

It would be great for kids under 12 years as parents would feel comfortable for them to be at a skatepark near to their house.

For example these are some great and fun skate parks.

Ararat Vic, Moama NSW, Eaglehawk Vic
