DIPG - Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma is an especially difficult to treat Pediatric brain tumour. It cannot be removed surgically without removing vital tissue because it is diffuse and wrapped around healthy brain tissue. Radiation is the only standard treatment and will only extend life by a couple months but DIPG children are considered terminal upon diagnosis. It is a type of cancer that usually attacks children between 5-12 years old, however, it can strike anyone at anytime. It only has a less than 1% survival rate. DIPG is continuously called RARE however, brain tumours are the leading cause of cancer related deaths in children under the age of 10...

DIPG leaves children mentally in tact yet it steals all their bodily functions. No parent should ever have to hear “your child has cancer, it’s called DIPG, it’s terminal and there’s nothing we can do... go home and make memories”

“Kayge Fighters Against DIPG Foundation” will fight to raise awareness... a national day will help us do just that! Please help us raise awareness... TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!  This is the link to our story:
