Nepal Airlines To Schedule 'Sector Bahrain' Direct Flight
0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!
Bahrain has been one of the most preferred destinations for Nepalese workforce as employment opportunities and more Nepalese individuals are pouring in here each year. According to LMRA (Labor Market Regulatory Authority, Bahrain) statistic for 2015, in-total of 20, 000 Nepalese nationals reside in Bahrain. More or less average of another 10,000 Nepalese are to be included on the record as there are into domestic visas and not incorporated with LMRA employment visa enrollment.
At present, travelling to/from Bahrain-Kathmandu-Bahrain have been chaotic hindrance for all Nepalese individuals here. This sector has been totally oversight by Air-carriers since 2013. Previously, 2 x national carriers use to have direct flight back & forth from Nepal.
- On the March, 2013 – The Gulf Air, National carrier of Bahrain stopped its operations to Nepal showing commercial reasons. They use to maintain 16-18 flights tentatively per week.
- On the April, 2013 - Bahrain Air voluntarily entered to liquidation process resulting shut-down of its services. They use to maintain 3 flights to Nepal-Bahrain-Nepal on weekly basis.
Apparently, alternative flying options for us are:-
- Either to take transit flight from ‘Qatar Airways, Gulf Airways and Oman Air’ ( Star Air-carriers) with limited transit hours in Doha/Abu-Dhabi/Oman. This option is not considered as budget friendly or affordable to most of Nepalese individuals.
- Only remaining option as budget airlines (fly dubai, Air Arabia, Jet Airways etc) which fly’s economically with reasonable ticket-tags but with long transit hours, no on-board facilities & restriction on luggage terms.
We have confidence in writing down this petition to Nepal Airlines for establishing direct flight from Nepal-Bahrain. And we hope to see our own national carrier flying across Bahrain skies.
Awaiting for hopeful reply,
