Fund Emergency Contraceptive 24-Hour Access on UMD's Campus

This petition had 28 supporters

Emergency Contraception (EC) is a vital part of women's health. Because of limited access to this over-the-counter medication on campus, many of our peers cannot get EC when they need it, making it harder to take EC during the short time-frame after unprotected intercourse. Installing a vending machine that provides EC in a building or place on campus that is open 24/7 would make it much more accessible to students.

In signing this petition, we are standing with the UMD student body to urge the Student Government and University to seriously consider this initiative. Reproductive healthcare is important to students at this University, and we need to fix the problem of access to EC on campus.
