To save St Bridget’s hospital in Carrick on suir
Why this petition matters

Our local hospital has been closed, we want it back open immediately with full effect. We feel let down as a community as we believe this was done without any real problems within the building and was just a cost saving measure, with no thought for our community that relies on the hospital. We need it open, we want it back Carrick on suir has been let down by our government. We as a community WANT OUR HOSPITAL BACK. This is a respite/palliative hospital which is acutely needed in our community as most people who use it have family who can’t travel as the public transport system is atrocious in this area. St Brigids Hospital was a fantastic place to get some well needed rest for the patient and the families but now that can’t happen because Minister Butler took the decision to shut the place down during Covid citing its use as a step down facility for patients of covid. However that was a rare occurrence but once that was finished with the place never opened again and was stripped of its belongings to be shared with other hospitals, the people of Carrick fundraised for most of those items. We want it back it’s our hospital and our community needs it. Please help by signing and sharing to get as many signatures as possible. Thank you.
