LGBTQ Sports Fan Pages started this petition to Owner, New York Mets Steven Cohen and

For a few years the New York Mets have partnered with Chick Fil A - a company that has ties to and has funded Anti-LGBTQ groups - Focus on the Family and the National Organization for marriage, as well as The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Salvation Army, and the Paul Anderson Youth Home (don't let that name fool you, its not for ALL Youth).

When Steven Cohen and his wife Alexa purchased the Mets, it seemed that a new day was coming to the Mets - it was announced that the signage on the foul poles was coming down and LGBTQ Mets fans were happy. Having the branding of a company actively working against, you, your loved ones and community after spending a lot of money to attend a game is disheartening.

Today, Thursday, April 8, 2021 - the morning of the Mets 2021 Home Opener, the Mets tweeted a new partnership program with CFA - anytime a Met hits a homerun off a new extremely large and even more in your face advertisement, everyone in the park (well at least those who would step into a CFA) will get a free chicken sandwich.

Nothing is FREE and that sandwich is given away on the backs of those who CFA and in turn the Mets help push down.

Let's let the Mets and MLB know that this is not okay, you cant move the All Star Game to be culturally competent and to show how in tune you are with current political issues and human rights problems and then promote and triumphantly promote something like this.
