Reject Propose Variance to Parking Ordinance for Heights/Yale/7th St. Proposed Development

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens of Houston and residents and/or tenants of the Houston Heights and we strongly urge our leaders to reject the proposed variance to parking ordinance request for the proposed development at Heights/Yale/7th Street. We strongly believe that the public parking places, paid for with our tax dollars, should be reserved for individuals and families wanting to use the hike and bike trail and visit Donovan Park. We humbly request that the public parking places along 7th Street would not be used in calculating the required parking requirements for any private development, but that the Planning Commission would require the developer to construct adequate parking on its private property for its proposed development.
