Mike Crichlow started this petition to Houston and

On the first days of July 2020, Oscar Banza, an immigrant, local business owner, husband, and father of two was accused of sexual assault while working for Uber in order to pay off multiple debts caused by the recent COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to a language barrier, Mr. Banza had little choice aside from Uber when paying off his debts. Despite this, during the half-year he worked for Uber, he gained a 4.7 out of 5 score throughout his dozens of drives and was able to maintain his livelihood and the livelihoods of his family. Unfortunately, on July 2nd, a middle-aged woman accused Mr. Banza of sexual assault during their drive, an unpleasant drive that she was 30 minutes late for and extremely rude during; in fact, Mr. Banza offered not to give her the ride due to how much extra the price would be.

This false accusation has caused Uber to jump to conclusions: deactivating Mr. Banza's Uber account, denying him, an American citizen, the right to due process, and ignoring his near-flawless score of 4.7 out of 5. As we all know, sexual assault accusations can follow an innocent man to their graves and ruin their social standings if the man in question has no way to defend himself, so let's not let that occur to another innocent immigrant attempting to keep his family safe during a pandemic. For these reasons, I implore you, please sign and spread the petition.
