Sidewalks on The Circle - Dothan, Alabama

Along the Ross Clark Circle of Dothan, Alabama resides the city's heaviest traffic. This road is where most major roads, business, restaurants, and offices are located. Those in our community, such as the disabled, and elderly who either choose not to drive, cannot drive, or do not own a personal vehicle, commute along the circle and put their lives at risk. This leads to pedestrian involved vehicle collisions, and in some cases, death. One way to combat this is by improving the city's infrastructure to include sidewalks, walkways, and handicap accessible ramps. This improvement benefits not only the handicap and elderly community, but the entire city of Dothan. Implementing sidewalks and handicap accessible ramps greatly reduces the risk of injury that pedestrians face when walking to and from their home and businesses.
