Remove Traffic Lights At Highway 84 and Forrester/Glenn Lawrence Intersection

Fellow Houston County resisdents and anyone who regularly commutes Highway 84 East,
We petition to have the traffic lights on US Highway 84 at the intersection of Forrester and Glen Lawrence Roads to be removed. Since the erection of the traffic lights, there have been more automobile accidents at this intersection than ever before. Especially accidents involving freight liner trucks. This intersection lies at the bottom of a small valley and the large trucks and even regular commuters have a hard time trying to stop at the light because of the steep declines that head into the intersection.
The Houston County Comissioners already know that the traffic lights are a problem, which is why they have recently tried to “help” the situation by putting flashing yellow arrows for those that are turning off the highway. This intersection may be dangerous without the traffic lights, but the lights are not helping the situation. They seem to be making the problem worse. Please sign if you are a regular commuter through this area and believe that the lights need to be removed. With enough signatures this will be presented to the Houston County Commission Office.
