The Houston County Board of Education dress code is sexist and unfair. Girls are not allowed to wear leggings and crop tops (that are appropriate),  students can't wear shorts above the knee, tank tops, or have colored hair. These are telling students to cover their bodies and strips them of their individuality. There is nothing sexual or distracting about legs, shoulders, bra straps, or a stomach especially those of a minor. To tell a student what they're wearing is more important than their education isn't right. By signing this petition we are striving to change the dress code across the schools of Houston County.
