Restaurants are greatly suffering from the asinine commission fees charged by the third-party delivery platforms. Many restaurants have been unable to overcome the 27 to 33% or higher fees charged off gross. As a result, many restaurants have been forced to close down. The enormous greed of the third-party delivery platforms affects not only small business owners but employees as well. The next two articles touch on the economic impact these third-party services are having on local economies.

Cities such as San Francisco have capped the delivery fees to 15%. In fact, the state of California is considering passing legislation for the same.
