Me, my mum & dad are going to be made homeless on the 30th August by our private rent company Bracketts. We ave explained to them the following:-

My mum did work as a carer but had to give this up as she got covid from the home she was working in and now has long covid so had to give the job up, she now work as a laundrette which is alot less pay.

My dad is over 60 he has COPD as well as other health issues.

Myself as well as my mum have both been put onto the keep eye on list by doctors as we have wanted to comit suicide a few times between us so we are both on anti depressants.

I have put our names down on the housing list this was back in May and said we should have the application approved within 28days this has not happened. So sent email to local MP who contacted the director of housing who has only suggested we stay where we are and talk to the rent company who want us out as they want to sell also we are unfortunately behind with the rent.  Also they mentioned we could try renting privately esewhere but may not get this due to me having an IVA out.

Im sure there are quite a few people out there in similar situation to us, why are there not more houses available via the council even though more are built every day? Why is the price so high between council rent & private rent when everything is expensive for cost of living at the moment? Something really needs to be sorted or some kind of action needs to happen.
