This little one should be able to have any hair his parents let him have.

Because my son’s long hair is part of his identity. Because today his headmaster in front of class said there’s no excuse for his long hair. Before we joined to school we confirmed that our son has long hair, always had and that if this would be an issue we would need to know ahead of time. Today he came home a little bit broken and hurt and in panic. It’s so sad that in 2021 we are still trying to fit square pegs in round holes.

Schools are getting out of control with all their rules! Something needs to be done. The point of school is to educate not discriminate!

I want Farouk to be able to express himself in the way that he chooses, not what someone else decides is suitable for him, and all other boys.

All kids should have the right to have their hair the way they like it. Long hair is beautiful for kids, for girls AND for boys.
There is absolutely NO reason to discriminate a boy for having long hair

My son (now 10) also has long hair, and is due to start at a school in September which has this rule, like so many other schools. His hair is important to him as part of his individuality and identity and he has asked me to argue the case with his school. I don't feel hopeful about the outcome and am angry that this issue might poison the start of his high school career. Glad to see someone standing up about this.

Because there’s no point in discriminating against people for their hair.
