Why this petition matters
I am setting up this petition in memory of our little bay boy. Ryan is an incredibly beautiful child, and Ryan gained his angel wings when he was just 21 months. We spent a long time with him in hospital and during this time we found it so hard, its just such a shocking and anxious time, you can’t comprehend what is happening to you and just lurch from one hour to the next trying your best to cope and deal with the fact you have found yourself in a situation you only thought happened to other families.
Sometimes you just can’t even think about eating but as time goes on your body needs nourishment and you have to eat and you have to think about your other children and family members. There are no services to help parents get a healthy and hearty meal in this situation to sustain them through their ordeal. The choices are cheap take away or sandwiches.
This is why we want to launch an online petition, in Ryan’s memory, to help other families when they find themselves in hospital with their child. Every element of stress and worry you can take off them will help them to survive and navigate through their journey in hospital. Many parents have other children they need to feed and keep healthy through the experience. Hospitals provide food for the child in hospital but not for the family so it leaves a gap in services that Ryan’s Foods want to fill and there are an number of ways this can be done and pay for one way would be the option pay toward someone meal when you are paying for your own meal when visiting someone another way would be to get the big company's that are already in the hospital to give back and help towards funding this and there are so many more way's.
We would like to be clear that this would be for the parents or cares of poorly children from age 0-18 yea's old and for there other siblings if possible.
You can help us raise awareness by sharing and singing this online petition, thanks for reading and helping us help families with children in hospital.
