End Filibustering at Westminster

The process known as filibustering is undemocratic and ultimately results in bills which are designed to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of everyone in the UK being stopped at the behest of a single MP or small group of MP's.
Whether it be the Turing Bill, the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Bill or many of the other commendable members bills that have been defeated by MP's with vested interests, it causes hardship and in the case of the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Bill it could have caused deaths which could have been prevented if such legislation was in effect.
We the undersigned call on all MP's in the UK Parliament to bring into effect primary legislation which will permanently end filibustering, setting time limits on members of parliament for their debate interjections and a process by which debate allocated time can be extended until a vote is taken. In any case, ALL bills and legislation put through the Commons should be voted on and no MP or group of MP's should have the power to end a bill without the House of Commons voting on it, simply by talking continuously.
