Fish farms ruin the habitat of the native flora and fauna. They are also cruel to the fish and shoot at the local seals.

As a former comercial decky i believe in wild fishery not caged force fed fish that are not free and the result of the area that these farms exsist in are damaged

Farming fin fish in Norfolk Bay, particularly without a total overhaul of industry regulations, invites certain environmental disaster.

I live in north west bay and I have seen the pollution first hand by the fish farms. I never buy salmon now. How can this industry be allowed to grow and prosper whilst polluting to such extremes.

I'm signing because I love fishing in the local area of dodges and lewisham and fish farms are just going to wreak it

I am so annoyed and disappointed with the Tasmanian government leaning over backwards to assist big business salmon, without a thought to the environmental destruction and community social amenity that salmon farming poses.

The massive salmon farm expansion in storm bay horrifies me. A 1 in 10/15 year storm will destroy all the pens and release potentially millions of fish into the area . They will feed on juvenile flathead, juvenile flounder , baitfish and whatever else they can catch. They don’t belong here and elsewhere in the world there are massive fines for escaped fish because of the damage they do.
