H. R. 220 - "To provide for a national strategy to address and overcome Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases, and for other purposes."

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
January 3, 2019
Mr. Smith of New Jersey (for himself, Mr. Peterson, Mr. Posey, Ms. Stefanik, Mr. Fitzpatrick, Mr. Sires, Ms. Pingree, and Mrs. Hartzler) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce.

To Whom it may Concern,

With an increasing number of cases of tick borne illness in the U.S. each year, and the resulting burden of chronic illness not only on patients, but on our healthcare system, the passing of this bill would give many of us hope, and bring recognition to an illness (group of illnesses) that are currently ignored, dismissed, and mocked by not only the IDSA, and CDC, but medical professionals, and insurance companies alike. This is a long awaited move in the right direction, and if passed, would in the long run save many lives.
