Bring Back Ms. Rainey

With Ms. Rainey's absence, there has been noticeably less artistic support provided by the substitute teacher. A new substitute with a knowledge of any form of art would be a significantly greater replacement than the current proxy, who has destroyed many students' projects that were worked on for weeks/months by incorrectly firing them in the kiln. Many students have been asked to leave class without violating any rules while others are allowed to stay. Fewer students are interested in taking ceramics in following semesters because of the treatment from teacher to student, which is very disappointing as many students have expressed obvious talent and increased interest in this unique art form under Ms. Rainey's leadership and teaching skills. Some students have even attended Ms. Rainey's introductory class instead of studies to learn about ceramics. The ceramics classroom is a safe place where everyone is free to express themselves comfortably, and without Ms. Rainey, it just doesn't feel as comfortable or enjoyable. If ceramics is a class that the high school would like to continue offering, it will not be a successful elective without the teachings of Ann Rainey.
