Parents would like to see changes to math education in Ontario. We would like a more structured system and a solid foundation in arithmetic and problem-solving.

I'm signing because the current method of trying to get little children to think abstractly goes DIRECTLY AGAINST the well-researched 4 stages of cognitive development of Jean Piaget. School children are in the "concrete operationl stage" for the most part and do far better with clear structured learning.
