I completely agree with the reasoning of this petition. Why should humans shirk the responsibility they have in creating this problem for the rabbits. They are suffering because of us. They have no instincts of protection out in the wild. This is an egregious issue and irresponsible pet owners should pay a huge fine. I have been spending many hours trying to catch these rabbits and relocating them to safe places. It is very emotionally distressing for citizens who care about these defenceless animals. We need to solve the problem now.

Domestication - of animals, should be illegal and enforced. As a species our behaviors and treatment of all life is shameful at best, including towards our own species. If you question this statement look into our food industry that considers animals not worthy of consideration towards their needs and feelings while forcing an entire species their entire life in slavery to us, as food. Horrifying really, so not really surprising the stupidity followed by neglect so many animals suffer under the false premise that to have your life domesticated by a human is somehow worth giving up the freedom to be the animal you are genetically programed to be, give up dignity if you see how most people think of their animals as something akin to machines lacking all intelligence and feelings which is brutally false, brutally because of what we do to these intelligent feeling creatures who just as much as humans want a good life, successful in their own goals and interests, while most people today can't begin to imagine your 'pet' has goals, interests, needs beyond your surprisingly limited appreciation for life in general and the living specifically. If it wasn't so horrible it would only be sad that you waste your life on being insensitive cause it leads to stupid while you and everyone you know will experience the effect, but mostly you because its your life most wasted for being dull and complacent. These days I think people called that white privilege, makes you dull and stupid.
