The deposit sought by BWSSB for providing New water connections to buildings owned by individuals with 3 or more kitchens is very steep.  The board is charging Rs.400 per square metre, as against Rs.250 per square metre charged for buildings with 2 or 1 kitchen.  Also, charging on the basis of square metre imposes heavy charges as you can see in the attached demand note.  Hence, my humble request is to charge only Attachment fee, Meter fixing charges, Sanitary point charges, Inspection charges, 3 month minimum deposit and Water meter cost.  We would be paying for our actual consumption month on month as per the tariff. Hence, request the Chief Minister to consider this request favourably and oblige.
