The NEET UG 2017 applicants of West Bengal put their permanent address in the application forms. After publication of NEET UG 2017 result by CBSE, WBMCC sought domicile certificate in PROFORMA-a1, PROFORMA-a2 and PROFORMA-B i.e. in multiple domicile status which is in violation of single domicile rule for the state, on the basis of which the honourable Supreme Court of India on 29-08-2017 passed an order to cancel all MBBS & BDS admission of Madhya Pradesh and to prepare for a fresh admission following CBSE list.
As the SC has quashed the multi-domicile issue in medical admission, so the permanent address of a candidate given in the NEET Application Form should be treated as the only Domicile of the candidate.
The current merit list of 85% WB quota MBBS-BDS seats follows multi-domicile status ignoring single domicile rule for the state. As a result, many students of West Bengal are deprived of occupying seats in MBBS & BDS admission through 85% state quota.
So the voice be raised for publishing a fresh 85% WB state quota merit list for MBBS & BDS admission 2017 as per observation of SC of India quashing the old one. At this the students of West Bengal will be benefitted in getting admissions in medical & dental colleges this year.
