Bella C started this petition to School Board

Year 12 jumpers are tradition that has been held at this school for many years. It signifies the seniority of the year 12s, and more importantly, is a symbol of their hard work and dedication displayed throughout their school life.

Although it may seem small and insignificant to many, it has a true internal value to the year 12s at our school. The jumpers instil a sense of pride in the cohort, and give them a small piece to hold onto throughout the year, and celebrate all they have achieved so far.

To strip the current year 12s of this honour would be unfair and unnecessary. If it does not affect anyone else why cannot the rules stay the same to cater to those who it affects most? The student cohort of 2021 is unanimous in this plea to keep year 12 jumpers as just that - not VCE (year 11 and 12) jumpers. Moreover, it is a service to the younger year levels, who will be feel a greater importance when they finally are able to enjoy the jumpers in year 12. The extension of this privilege to the year 11s only lessens the value, and the year 11s will be valued and supported in their 3/4s regardless.

Thus, we petition to maintain the embroidered jumpers for year 12s only, as it is their last year and final hurrah. This minute piece of recognition would be greatly appreciated!
