Pedestrian safety measures needed on Keoneula Blvd. in Ewa Beach

Vehicular traffic on Keoneula Blvd. in Ewa Beach creates hazardous conditions daily to pedestrians and people engaged in other forms of transportation. Adding traffic control measures such as a 4-way stop at its intersection with Kamakana St. as well as raised (flashing) crosswalks at intersections with both Kamakana and Kaiwawalo Streets would address this issue. Raised (flashing) crosswalks increase pedestrian visibility and serve to slow vehicles which are exceeding the speed limit. A 4-way stop will calm speeding at the intersection and make vehicles aware of pedestrians and bikes. Our residents of Ewa Beach, especially our keiki and kupuna need your kokua. Mahalo.
