Saudi Arabia has jailed 2 years back (in 2018) Vishnudev aged now 28 years, Indian national (Passport No. J7442201)  from Kerala working there for ARAMCO Contractor Al Hajri Corporation based on a tweet reply on Twitter; for 10 years and fined Saudi Riyals.150,000/-. The said Tweet he replied was abusing Hindus (see news of the events); however based on complaint from some people his Tweet reply was interpreted as against Islam & Saudi Arabia. Probably Vishnudev did not understand the social media rules of Saudi Arabia at that time. He was subsequently detained and case charged on him for blasphemy against Islam. This punishment is unfair, unjustified and against freedom of speech, human rights and freedom of Indian citizen granted under our Indian constitution.

The said tweet was not deliberate but was reply for a post from a UK based lady,  and issues mentioned there is based on history or news. He has already served 2 years in jail now, we have information that some group of people are pressurizing him to change religion so that his punishment could be reduced; this attitude is to condemned by all right thinking people.

His family back home in Alappuzha Kerala is devastated since then, he is the only son of Ex Serviceman Shri. V Radhakrishnan Nair who has already approached since 2018 Indian Embassy Saudi Arabia, our External Affairs Ministry and the previous minister (Late) Smt. Sushma Swaraji for help but nothing happened so far.

We would request Government of India, Hon. PM Shri. Narendra Modi, Prime Ministers office to intervene directly to get him released and deported to India. Only HH the King of Saudi Arabia can give him pardon under the present circumstance.

We thank all those people who have supported this just cause.
