MANDURAH TACKLING ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR ACTION GROUP started this petition to Hon. Michelle Roberts MLA Minister.Roberts@dpc.wa.gov.au and

Effective crime prevention and criminal apprehension underpins the sense of personal safety, property security and freedom in our community. With the state and federal justice processes, it forms one of the pillars of any healthy and successful society. Within our Mandurah and Peel Region communities, law abiding people are deciding against enjoying our public places and many people exist in fear of attack, trespass or theft in their own homes, businesses or residential precincts. In particular, many elder residents in our community are vulnerable and concerned. That is unacceptable.

A sluggish economy and record personal debt contributing to personal and family financial stress, illegal drug use and various illegal-drug-initiated mental health illness require long term health, social and economic policy and funding from state and federal governments. While our elected members nibble at the edges of these issues, year after year, must we, as residents accept crime in our communities as "the way it is now"? We say - absolutely not.

For us law-abiding residents, it's a simple equation: more police = less crime.

We, the residents of Mandurah and the Peel Region, want three times (vs average 1st half 2019) the permanently stationed police in our Mandurah and Peel Region residential and business precincts, ramping up to complete by July 31st 2020.
