The lack of transparency from the BoG is a serious problem. If they cannot give their reasons their reasons are not good enough reasons to summarily dismiss a successful President.

It's disgusting that personal financial interests of board members should override an institution's educational progress.

I am so sorry - and believe so much in transparency, and ending systemic and structural racism.

there is enough strife in this community without the board of NSCAD adding to that strife, ,is honesty so difficult . Is this the way to help our artists , our community ?

As a graduate and as a former student rep on the NSCAD Board I proudly sign this petition and call on the current NSCAD Board to reinstate President Aoife and for those involved with this debacle to resign from their positions. NSCAD needs a board that is in touch with its faculty and students, their interests and their success need to be the number one priority. Real estate should not be the priority.

I’m a graduate and was on the Board. This is not how democratic institutions should work.

The NSCAD board has a history of being a law unto itself, generally disconnected from and at odds with the rest of the organization. They also have a history of choosing presidents who disappoint the faculty, students, and the community. When a president who was, finally working so well with people on those fronts, is fired by the board, we deserve to understand why. Instead, the board is hiding behind the old screen of personnel confidentiality. It truly is time to fire the board. It’s as though the board does not want NSCAD to be successful.
