The oval belonging to the site of the old Yarra Hills Secondary College, Cambridge Road campus is adjacent to the Elizabeth Bridge Reserve in Durham Road, Kilsyth and would make a wonderful addition to the reserve. There are many dog owners in Kilsyth who want to do the right thing and exercise their dogs off leash but there are no suitable off leash parks in the vicinity. Kilsyth is zoned for high density living and this alone will add pressure to the Elizabeth Bridge Reserve, which is a much used and loved park. If the site of the old school is sold for development the added pressure on the reserve will be enormous. Our group of dog lovers ask you to support this cause, even if you don't own a dog please consider the pressure of more people using the Elizabeth Bridge Reserve, once this land is sold we loose the one and only opportunity to acquire more space for the reserve ---We need the Oval.
