These ranges contain unique plant species that are already threatened and damaged by existing mine sites. We must preserve these for their scientific and cultural importance

This area is too important to be lost to iron ore. It should be made a national park for people to camp, hike, 4wd, photograph for generations to come. Keep the mining in the Pilbara where it's already operating.

...because I do not want ancient lands and great beauty - that will live on for hundreds and thousands of years- destroyed forever for short term mining gain ...that is not really a gain at all.

since the mining, gas and petroleum industries take their billions out of australia and convert them to valuable currency unmarred to avoid giving anything back to the australian people, we should not permit these vandals to further trash our landscapes and remove more of our wealth than they already have. Unless we are stupid.

This area is essential to the health and wellbeing of Western Australia's unique environment. It's unthinkable to even consider damaging it.

There is already a series of open-cut mines and mine roads that dissect the woodlands around the Helena Aurora Range, and other banded ironstone ranges in the area have been nibbled away by iron ore miners. How about we leave a pristine portion untouched so future generations can see what the natural landscape once looked like!
