Reinstate the original policy for Level 3B Special Care Homes

This new policy affects all the seniors of New Brunswick who do not have dementia.  With the old policy, seniors in New Brunswick, who were no longer able to stay in their homes and required 24 hour care, had a choice to where they could live.  Now with this new policy there is NO choice for these seniors without dementia.  They cannot move into the smaller, home like, facilities that provide Level 3B care.  The government has left them out and has stripped them of their rights to choose where they would like to live.  The only option for them right now is large scale Nursing Homes.  The government is suggesting that seniors with dementia do better in the smaller home-like style environment.  We agree with that 100%.  But so do seniors WITHOUT dementia.  All we are asking the government to do is give these seniors their rights back and put the policy back to the way it was.  It wasn't broken, so don't try and fix it.
