The whole world is impacted by the Covid19 deadly virus and with the onset of the 2nd wave in India, it is spreading like wildfire and is more deadly as compared to the 1st wave. Covid19 Patients are being kept in isolation wards at the mercy of the doctors and medical staff. The kins of the patient are not allowed to take care of their patients in the name of the protocol. I faced the same condition with one of my relative admitted to a Private Hospital for Covid Related emergency as was put on oxygen. Somehow the kins of the patient managed to visit the patient after 4 days and they were astonished to find that the patient had not taken any food for the last 4 days and he was not cleaned by any non-medical staff. I have come to know from other kins also that doctors seldom visit the covid patient and No intake or input chart is prepared and no output charts are prepared to evaluate the vitals of the patient. The patient is at the mercy of nurses and non-medical staff who are reluctant to perform their duties towards the patient. The Patients who are surviving from covid19 are not because of the efforts being put up by doctors or medical staff but they are surviving due to their good luck as their body fights back with the covid virus. Nurses and medical staff even do not check if the flow of oxygen to the patient is uninterrupted or not. Sometimes, the patient, who is irritated removes the oxygen masks but no one monitors them through CCTV or physically and the patient's condition deteriorates due to oxygen supply getting interrupted. In my opinion all Covid Wards, Private Rooms, ICUs must be monitored and recorded on centralized CCTV so that the kins of the patient can see what is happening with their patient. Rather for respecting the Human Rights - either the kins of the patients should be allowed as ATTENDANT in the Covid Wards, Rooms or they should be allowed inside view of the Ward on the public display of CCTV as to what is happening with their patient inside the ward as the patients are denied the basic human rights and are being treated like animals without food with No support and No monitoring of their vitals and their Treatment Charts are being fabricated just to complete the formalities.  When there is no protocol for Post-Mortem of the Covid 19 deceased patients to ascertain the cause of the death which could be the negligence of the doctors or medical staff - the kins of the covid patients in India must be given access to the CCTV View of their patients or they should be allowed to sit beside their patients as attendents at their own risk and responsibility.
