Appeal to fill up the vacancy of assistant professors in colleges from the existing panel
0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!
You are aware of the fact that the west Bengal college service commission (WBCSC) has conducted an examination to recruit assistant professors in various colleges. Even after the counseling process many positions remain vacant as all the colleges did not send the vacancy list in time. Moreover, many vacancies were created by the time the whole interview process got over, as it took almost two years. As your government is committed to provide the best quality education to the students of the state, recently honorable education minister Dr. Partha Chatterjee has announced to fill up all the vacant posts within six months, a move welcomed by everybody associated with higher education in the state.
Under the circumstances we, the empanelled candidates, who did not get a chance to join any college due to lack of vacancy, would like to request you to consider us for those newly created posts. All the empaneled candidates have already been examined by WBCSC and have secured top positions among all other eligible candidates in the respective subjects. In general, WBCSC has included twice the number of vacancies in each subject, however, in some subjects the number of candidates is even less than the actual vacancy due to lack of suitable candidates. It clearly depicts that WBCSC recognizes our suitability to teach in colleges.
Instead of recruiting the assistant professors through fresh advertisement, appointing us from the existing panel will expedite the process. Moreover, many of us may not be able to appear in the next examination because of age limit.
We hope you will consider our request favorably. Thank you for your kind attention and we look forward to hearing from you.
