IMPUNITY CLAUSE REPEAL IN THE MALAWI REVENUE AUTHORITY ACT.

Cap. 42:01 Sections 153 to 155 be revised and 154 be repealed in its entirety to allow members of the general public to sue Malawi Revenue Authority for loss of business. This Law gives impunity to the MRA. As a result, its officers carry out their duties with impudence. This has perpetuated corruption and disregard for service in the institution. And if Malawi Government is serious in the fight against corruption this Veil must be lifted. This will make the government to be answerable to its citizens and improve their service delivery and also help them to recruit professionals.
