Regulating Gay Teen Rights

Regulating Gay Teen Rights
At Pine River Backus Highschool, students are placing signs on their locker saying, "Smile, Jesus loves you." With the hash tag "#takebacktherainbow". It was 2 days after the creator of the rainbow flag, that symbolizes all of the sexualities and the LGBTQ+ in general, died in 2017. His name was Gilbert Baker, who was an activist in 1978. Born June 2, 1951 and died March 31st, 2017. Please help spread awareness about this, high-school teens, who deserve rights like every other, are getting called slurs and harassed for who they love. I am a lesbian myself, and I see my friends, allies and those in the community drop out of school to be homeschooled or go to another because of it. Its time we fight for our rights once again and this time, the last time. The fact that we have to be fighting for rights that are ours to take boggles my mind. Even if I knew this is what I would go through before I even knew I was gay, I still would chose to come out and fight. This is the last straw. We deserve everything everyone else does. Equality. And not to mention, P.O.C (people of color) in the LGBTQ+ community are being targeted so much more just because of their racial background. We have to put an end to this racial injustice and homophobia. Some people are different than you. Why do you care? It doesn't physically bothering you. You are born gay, but you're not born homophobic. That is something you are taught. Along with racism, sexism, etc.
