Homelessness in Australia

Homelessness is an issue that is spread all over Australia. It is when someone is living in an inappropriate dwelling like a shopping centre or an overcrowded household. The reasons why people are homeless are usually domestic abuse, financial issues, the housing crisis and other relationship or accommodation issues. There is often a stigma about homeless people and that they are drug addicts or made irresponsible choices to lead them to where they are. These statements are not true; homeless people are no different from the rest of Australia and both the government and the Australian community need to make a change, whether it is changing an attitude or changing the ways we approach homelessness. It is time to make a difference and help those who can no longer help themselves.
