Rob Sumner started this petition to Home Secretary Sajid Javid

Deputy Commissioner of the Met Police, Sir Craig Mackey, is being widely reported in the press as having witnessed a fellow police officer, PC Keith Palmer, being repeatedly stabbed in the Westminster terrorist attack. He is reported as saying that he and his colleagues stayed inside their car as they had no personal protective equipment, and instead of getting out to protect one of their own, locked the car doors and drove away to safety. If the facts are as reported, consideration must be given to charges of malfeasance in public office and neglect of duty. This cannot be properly considered without a full investigation.

This petition seeks to ensure that the Home Secretary requires a full investigation, that the outcome is open and transparently publicised, before Sir Craig is allowed to retire on a full pension in December 2018.
