All public houses to have disable access toilets

This petition had 78 supporters

Public Houses are the centre of British culture. A pub is a place to eat and drink with family and friends. Disability access laws are massively important. But pub chains have started to take an 'all or nothing' approach. When I have challenged landlords on why they don't have a disabled access toilet....I have been met with the response ...'as the council can not allow a ramp into the premises, we could not be disability accessible by law'. However a toilet is not about compliance it is about dignity. All disabilities are different, all public spaces are different but we should challenge that our public spaces not developed by what they can't do but what they can do to promote equality. I want to start with this as a condition for pub licences. LETS START WITH TOILETS
