Let my 9 year old see her Mummy for the New Year

For almost a year now, I haven't kissed or hugged my own daughter Taya. I have been a full time mum up to that point, involved in every detail of her life but for reasons out of my hand we separated. My daughter went to live in Egypt with her father while I stayed behind in the UK with my disabled son Ozzy, whose life would be at risk in Egypt (due to his very complex needs).

This was temporary measure but one that separated us now for almost a year. Taya's birthday is on Christmas Eve- this is the first birthday she will spend without me. Please help me in calling on the Home Office to approve Taya's visa so that she can spend Christmas & New Year with her mother.

Taya has already been denied 3 visit visas - so harshly with no consideration for her tender years or for the position I'm in as a mother.

In sustaining Ozzy's life and making sure he gets basic needs like food (he cannot swallow & his feeds are not available in Egypt) schooling and medical care, I have been forced to become a mother to Taya on FaceTime and Whatsapp. We miss each other terribly. She is a 9 year old who needs to see her mummy.

I'm currently awaiting a decision on my UK residency, and unable to leave the country for many months to come. I just need my daughter to visit it me over school holidays and spend time with me & her brother.

It's not fair to have to choose between my love for one child and the life & wellbeing of the other.

I ask the home office to have a heart and consider Taya's situation on compassionate grounds. The world has enough pain, don't be the person who adds to it.

Thank you and Merry Christmas
