Install CCTV cameras on all police cars

Install CCTV cameras on all police cars
The Issue
My brother Henry was killed just a few days before Christmas when he was chased by the police. He collided with another car and we lost him suddenly. The police killed my brother.
The car chasing Henry was an unmarked police car. Henry had been stopped and searched by police daily – despite having no criminal conviction. There has always been a real "them and us" feel with younger people and the police in Islington. Henry and his friends used to get bullied by police a lot and antagonised. I think they always hoped to provoke a reaction.
If it had been members of the public chasing someone in cars which led to a death, those people would have been arrested and locked up. Four Scotland Yard officers have been served with gross misconduct notices as part of the ongoing Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) investigation into what happened to Henry – but they're still working.
In 2012 Metropolitan Police commissioner Bernard Hogan-Howe said that all police cars would be installed with CCTV. He said "If we misbehave it will capture it, but, equally, for the people who misbehave or make false allegations, it will capture it."
But this doesn't apply to unmarked police cars - which is what Henry was chased by. We’re calling for the police to fit ALL of it’s cars with cameras so that there is better accountability for police actions.
Cameras on all police cars would provide transparency and encourage the police and public to act lawfully and truthfully.
If there had been cameras on the cars chasing Henry I don’t think the police would have chased him and led him to his death.
