Most people don't stop to think that a powerful insecticide that kills nuisance insects will also kill beneficial insects. I don't want to kill off the honeybees or butterflies. I was planning to buy several shrubs at Home Depot but will not buy any there until I can buy some that are pesticide-free.

A new Harvard study confirms that neonicotinoid pesticides are the cause of CCS (colony collapse syndrome). We need to eliminate ALL plants whose seeds have been treated with these. Please follow through with the promise you made last year - to offer non-neonic plants which are clearly labeled as such. Please eliminate (don't just phase out) the dangerous neonics that are killing our pollinators and threatening our food supply! We have already lost 40% of our bees. We cannot lose any more.

We will also put on hold all of our nursery purchases until Home Depot changes its policy.

Because there are far fewer bees in my native species garden than I have had in the past years. FU!

The worship of profit is destroying our ecology. Without ecology there can be no economy as there will be no people. Silent Spring?
