On March 22nd, Bengaluru went into what was supposed to be a Janata Curfew, a self imposed curfew by citizens committing to only stir out of home for essential supplies and medical needs.

One of the crucial services that citizens needed for following the self-quarantine was home delivery from online grocers so that we could stay at home and survive on essentials.

However, the Bengaluru police have been restricting this, preventing citizens from getting necessary groceries at hone. It has becone so bad that three of the top online grocers - Amazon pantry, BigBasket and Grocers have shut shop today. I personally know many of the people who are struggling to get groceries, and my social feeds are full of complaints about people struggling to get groceries today.

This being a tough situation in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, is causing fear and panic amongst citizens of Bengaluru.

I urge the authorities to urgently solve this problem, and allow e-comnerce deliveries to flow smoothly in the city.

We are staying home, and we don't want to panic, but being at hone and not getting essentials is very unnerving,. Keeping a strong supply chain and making hone deliveries even better to soothe the nerves of citizens is essential in these times, so we can all get through this disaster unscathed.
