What comes up must come down- Here are a few reasons why I am starting a petition to end the use of fireworks worldwide.

There are perchlorates in many fireworks that dissolve in water, polluting rivers and drinking water. Also, the noise they make re-traumatizes people that fled from a country due to war. Fireworks are correlated with anxiety, disorientation, stress and fear especially for Veterans that suffer from PTSD.

We are already in the midst of a climate crisis why should we continue to promote polluting the air we breath? This impacts all of us since fireworks release CO2 and Ozone. Pets also suffer since the loud boom hurts their ears.

If people are looking for fun then why not create the alternative of holographic fireworks? The planet and people will be a better a place for it in the end. It's time to move forward and embrace the future.
