SEA LIFE at Mall of America started this petition to Hollywood

Hollywood's biggest night might be host-less, but it doesn’t need to be roach-less. SEA LIFE Aquarium at Mall of America is petitioning that a cockroach, featured in its soon-to-be-opening hit adventure Brave the Rainforest, help host the award show. The roach is already flat but its jokes are guaranteed be anything but.  Even if the jokes fail, it’s tough to crush a cockroach or their spirit. In fact, who better to roast the Academy’s biggest nominees than a roach!

Cockroach fans from around the world can make this a reality by signing the petition and give the Academy some cockroach courage to make this dream into a roach reality. The roach will not be at a loss for words as their scientific name, Blaberus giganteus, means they can’t help but blab. Movie buffs can rest assured that the ‘roach’ful host would have a myrid of topical film jokes funnier than any people presenter.

- What do you call a movie about my best friends? The Secret Life of Pests.

- The only movie that got more squashed more than my friends this year was Robin Hood.

- While A Star is Born about once every 30 years, a cockroach is born about every 30 seconds.

- If all the best song nominees can’t sing, I’m happy to perform La Cucaracha.

- Cockroaches can hold their breath for 40 minutes so I’m not sure why I wasn’t called to be a stunt double for The Shape of Water.

After the big show and jokes, the celebrity cockroach status will not fade soon as hundreds will be in the largest pop-up tank in any SEA LIFE in the world! The whole family can fit in this giant 360-degree pop-up tank in all-new $1 million dollar Brave the Rainforest adventure, where they will take a collective brave breath before surrounding themselves with hundreds of flying cockroaches.
