Continue the tradition of having both white and blue graduation caps and gowns at the graduation ceremony for the Hollis-Brookline High School Class of 2015.

Many students at Hollis-Brookline High School have expressed emotions of surprise, anger, frustration, and great dissatisfaction after hearing that the Class of 2015's graduation caps and gowns will only consist of the color blue. In past years, Hollis-Brookline High School has carried on a tradition of wearing both white and blue colors at graduation. Traditionally, females wore white caps and gowns, and males wore blue caps and gowns. Hollis-Brookline High School's official colors consist of white and blue, and as such, both colors should be included in the graduation ceremony. The Class of 2015 never voted on this change, nor were they officially notified regarding this matter. Furthermore, if a student feels uncomfortable wearing one of the school colors, then they should be allowed to order the other school color instead. The administration should not take this personal choice away from the individual students.

The purpose of this petition is to reverse the unjust and highly unpopular decision that the Hollis-Brookline High School administration has made to order only blue caps and gowns for the Class of 2015's graduation ceremony, which was done without the knowledge or consent of the Class of 2015.
