Thanksgiving vs. Corporate Greed
Pledge to boycott until Jan. 1, 2013, any company, like Target, who requires their employees to work Thanksgiving night. Thanksgiving is a holiday to be with family and friends. There are enough shopping days to accommodate shoppers without interfering with families' holiday celebrations. If enough shoppers pledge to boycott companies who choose to open Thanksgiving evening, companies will realize they will lose more money than they will gain if they do so. While I do not work for any of those companies or have family or friends who do, I care enough about my fellow Americans to be willing to inconvenience myself by not shopping at those stores to protect Thanksgiving day and evening for others. Thank you.
I was inspired by Casey's poignant petition: http://www.change.org/petitions/target-take-the-high-road-and-save-thanksgiving?utm_source=action_alert&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=13234&alert_id=hHUeLqYHqH_pdqdgwTcim
