The Issue

On what was supposed to be one of the happiest days of my niece's life—her graduation day—she faced undeserved humiliation at the hands of Tiffany Sandlin, a staff member at Jonesboro High School. Tiffany Sandlin not only verbally attacked my niece, but also with malice held her diploma, preventing her from receiving it on stage along with her peers. This behavior from a school employee is unacceptable and has no place in an environment intended to nurture and educate students.

This incident is not isolated. Many others have come forward with similar accounts of Tiffany Sandlin's inappropriate behavior and rude attitude toward students. Instead of providing support, she creates an environment of fear and intimidation. When an educator or school staff member acts out of line, it not only impacts the students they encounter but erodes the trust and safety we expect from our educational institutions.

Teachers, administrators, and staff members are role models for our children. They should embody values such as respect, kindness, and responsibility. It's crucial that parents, students, and community members hold them accountable when they fail in these duties. The Jonesboro school board must investigate these complaints thoroughly and take meaningful action.

By signing this petition, you're urging the Jonesboro school board to ensure a safe and supportive environment at Jonesboro High School. You're advocating for an education system where our children feel valued and respected; where bullies, irrespective of their position, face consequences for their actions.

Join us in demanding accountability and change. Sign this petition to call for proper disciplinary action against Tiffany Sandlin to restore dignity and safety in our school community.
