On May 5th, The City of Henderson, along with Mayor Debra March and her City Council, and friends Trish Nash and Michelle Romero, came to a final conclusion after a year of planning, and within 30 days of the 1st ever City of Henderson sponsored Pride event, announced to the Promoter, Henderson Equality Center and Henderson Pride Fest, that they will not be going forward with having PRIDE!

The Mayor and her council say the visions of Pride did not meet the visions with those of the promoter.  The City wanted to censor artist names, refuse the SNHD to hand out condoms, and censor the styles of clothing that one would wear to a Pride Event.  They claim that the way people look, dress and act at a Pride event is not what they see a Pride Event to be for the City of Henderson.

We ask you to please sign this petition to show the City of Henderson and those above to be accountable for their actions, and that because of there actions, they should not be in office.  We need people in office that support the LGBTQ Community, allow them to be who they want to be, and not to let the corrupt politics enforce us to be what they envision.
