Hold Southwark Council accountable for breaching The Equalities Act 2010.
In January 2013 HHJ Diana Faber in Southwark v Community Youth Provisions Association, found that Southwark Council had breached both the Race Relations Act and s149 The Equalities Act 2010. This decision was admitted and not appealed. Harriet Harmon the local MP and member responsible for introducing the Equalities Act 2010 failed to address these actions by officers. These individuals remain in positions where the Public Sector Equality Duty is disregarded at their discretion. They do this repeatedly because the action has no consequence and members collude with this process. All are in receipt of public funds with a clear brief as public officers to ensure that their decisions and actions have due regard to s149 of the Equalities Act 2010.
We need to hold each of them to account for their actions.
